Dermot Earley Exhibit in Croke Park

Almost a year following his untimely death, an exhibition honouring Dermot Earley’s career in the GAA and the Defence Forces was launched in the GAA Museum, Croke Park on Thursday June 16th 2011.

Members of the Earley family, including his wife Mary and son Dermot Jnr., joined GAA President Christy Cooney, former team-mates from Roscommon, Michael Glavey’s GAA Club and Sarsfields as well as GAA Museum Curator Joanne Clarke to launch the exhibition that will run until Spring 2012.
The exhibition entitled “Dermot Earley - Leader and Legend” feature souvenirs from Dermot’s life as a hugely successful Gaelic footballer, playing for both Roscommon and Connacht, and from his distinguished military career in the Irish Defence Forces.
Dermot Early passed away on Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010 following a short illness.
