After a 100% record in the qualifying stages, Sarsfields are through to the junior B hurling county final against Moorefield.
Indeed, on the way the final Sarsfields have already accounted for their neighbours on two occasions (home and away) and also accounted for Kilcock (twice) and Ardclough on the path through the group stages.
It's a fine achievement on the part of the second string as this is the first time ever that Sarsfields have fielded a second team in Adult hurling. There's no doubt that the success of hurling in the club over the last number of years has made Sarsfields an attractive option for people to play hurling at a competitive level.
Indeed, with the Intermediate team contesting an intermediate final against Maynooth the following weekend, this will be Sarsfields fourth county final in the last three years.
They say success breeds success and that certainly holds true for the men with the small ball around Sarsfields Park these days.
Best of luck to Manager Paul Murray, his backroom team and all the players for the game on Sunday.
It will take place in Sarsfields Park next Sunday (Sept. 25th) at 5pm. All support would be greatly appreciated for what will hopefully be a great hurling double for the club.
