Sarsfields (playing in a combination with Ellistown) lost out to Rosglas in the Division 3 feile final played in St. Conleths park this morning.
Playing under the name of 'Development Squad', the Sash/Ellistown boys went in level at half time on a score of 1:02 each.
With Sarsfields, Colm Galvin (going for a feile double after the footballers win over Athy last weekend) playing a leading role around the middle, the combination side were stil in touch going into the last 10 mins, however the concession of a couple of late goals put paid to their challenge and Rosglas ran out winners on a scoreline of 4:05 to 1:03.
The participation in a feile final is a fine achievement for these players and hopefully the first step in establishing a strong underage hurling presence in the club.
