Best wishes to Johnny Crofton who has been appointed as the new Sarsfields senior football manager.

Kildare have been drawn with neighbours Offaly in the 2012 Leinster senior football championship.

It doesn't make a big difference to Sarsfields but the draw was made for the semi-finals of the SFC tonight.

Sarsfields lost out to Athy this evening in the SFC quarter final played at St. Conleths Park.

Table toppers Sarsfields and Athy the only unbeaten teams have been drawn against each other in the MDY SFC Quarterfinal. The game has been scheduled for Sunday next September 11 at 5.45 in St.Conleth's Park.
