Caragh completed a disappointing year for Sarsfields by claiming victory in the Jack Higgins cup 2010 final.

In the opening round of the Joe Fox Tool and Plant Hire Division 3 tie Rheban first team had a convincing seven points win over Sarsfields’ second team in Sarsfields Park on Saturday evening last. Rheban’s top scorer and chief playmaker centre forward Shane Rohan kicked six first half points to half to help his team to a 0-7 to 0-2 half time lead, a lead they never subsequently surrendered.
Sarsfields experienced mixed fortunes in the first round of the SFL played this weekend. The Div 1 fixture against Round Towers was won on a score line of 1:18 to 2:08 while in the Division 3 game, Rheban emerged convincing winners by 1:13 to 0:06.
The senior football team opened the account for the year with a good win in the Aldrige cup against Kilcock in difficult conditions this afternoon. The final score was 1:14 to 0:07.
The Senior B's also recorded a good win over Rathcoffey in the Dowling cup on a scoreline of 2:15 to 1:10
The Jack Higgins cup final fixed for Sunday has been cancelled again
and will now be played (hopefully) some time in January.
