Athy proved too strong for Sarsfields in the U-21 championship played on Sunday (Oct30th).

Sarsfields progressed at the expense of Clane in the U-21 championship this afternoon in St. Conleths Park.

Sarsfields will take on Clane this weekend in the U-21 championship.

The U-21's have been drawn against Clane in the opening round of the championship.

Hard luck to Kildare and captain Sean Campbell as they lost out by the minimum to Wexford in the U-21 1/4 final tonight in Wexford. The final score was 0:13 to 0:12. The tie was level with 5 mins or so remaining but the men in purple and gold edged the closing sequences and earned a semi-final spot.

 Moorefield had just 1 point to spare over Confey in their first round clash.

There will be a repeat of the senior county final pairing if Moorefield can over come Confey in their first round clash.

 The U-21 footballers are safely through to the next round after a six point win over Round Towers.
