Sarsfields 8:02 Kilcullen 2:00. Sarsfields final away game of the league was the short trip to Kilcullen. The match started at a blistering pace and Sarsfields raced into the lead with a point from Ciara Barrett and two quick fire goals from Hannah Cash. Saoirse Hourihane added another goal and the first half scoring was finished off with a well taken point from Réiltín Aherne and a goal from Beth O’Donoghue. In the second half Kilcullen emerged a different team scoring two goals, but this is a Sarsfields team full of character. Eabha O’Connor made a string of saves and a gritty determined defence resulted in sweeping counter attacks with Grace Galloway getting two goals and Aleia McGann getting a goal and the scoring rounded off with a “soccer style” chipped goal from Amy Daley.
